I have been remiss in not reporting on the factory collapse last week in Bangladesh. If there is any good news from this story it is this: the factory owner, Mohammed Sohel Rana, has been arrested just before he was to flee the country. So often these factory owners disappear, never to be seen again, while leaving death and destruction in their path. Continue reading

On Saturday, November 24th, 2012 there was yet another fire in a Bangladesh garment factory.  This time 111 workers lost their lives and an additional 100 workers were injured when fire swept through the Tazreen Fashion Ltd. factory on the outskirts of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
