This may seem slightly off target for this blog but I just watched an interesting video from The New York Times library that I want to share. It certainly gives pause for thought. I hope you enjoy it too!
The iPhone Economy – Video Library – The New York Times
I feel compelled to share with you that I am an iPhone and MacBook Pro user. I love Apple products and wish they would consider moving some production back to the United States.
On July 24, 2012 Apple released their Q3 Earnings Report which shows a quarterly net profit of $8.8 billion! Surely with profits that large Apple can afford to bring some production back to the states. Yes, I understand that Apple is accountable to their shareholders, but has anyone ever asked the shareholders if they would be willing to make a little less in order to bring some jobs back to the United States?
So what do you think? Please take part in my unscientific poll and pass it along to your friends. I look forward to hearing from you.
