Micha X. Peled of Teddy Bear Films has a Kickstarter campaign running right now to raise funds to finish his latest project.  Believe it or not, soccer is proving to be a successful tool aiding homeless women and men to pick themselves up and return to productivity and self-sustaining lives.  

For more in-depth reporting, Kevin McCamish covered the campaign on Stumptown Footy.  Last year’s Homeless World Cup (HWC) was held in Poznan, Poland and is covered in Goal! The Incredible Journey.  The 2014 HWC will take place in Chile, with both men’s and women’s soccer teams competing.
